My name is oluwatosin ibrahim Bodude, I am an IT Generalist at TGI Group

How Long Have You Been in the Data Analytics Space and Why Data Analytics?

I have been in the data space for quite some time (about 3 years) . I chose data analytics because it is part of our day to day operations. I am able to solve problems and interpret  data to present relatable information for use.

How did you manage to get your current job role at TGi Group?

I got my job via a job fair known as “ job conversation” where I used to be a temporary employee. I was limited to little operation but after obtaining my certification from Utiva Data Analytics school, I obtained unique skill sets that made me get my current position. 

What Are The Challenges You Face as a Data Analyst ?

The main challenge is usually from data collection and data cleaning. It is an engaging and challenging activity to do.

Second to it for me is the preparation of a data solutions proposal to a management team, the processes involved are quite tedious.

What Was Your Highest And Lowest Point Since You Started Your Journey as a Data Analyst?

My highest point in my career as a data analyst is becoming an associate trainer at my workplace, where I taught my colleagues how to work with Excel, power Bi, and PowerPoint. 

My lowest point was when I was just a beginner in using Excel, applying all that I was learning in real-life data felt like something I wouldn’t be able to master, it was such a low phase for me.

What role did Utiva play in your Journey in becoming a Data analyst? 

Utiva played a crucial role in building my data skills, serving as my primary learning space. I can confidently affirm that the time invested in learning at Utiva was exceedingly valuable. 

The comprehensive and effective training provided by Utiva not only honed my abilities but also laid a solid foundation for my proficiency in handling data-related tasks at my work place and personally. The experience was not only worthwhile but also instrumental in equipping me with the necessary skills and knowledge, making it an indispensable part of my journey towards expertise in the field.

What Do You Aim To Achieve In The Next 12 Months In Relation To What You Currently Do in Tech? 

My objective is to enhance my job efficiency by incorporating Automation and algorithms into my current skill set. 

The goal is to automate tasks and processes, thereby increasing productivity and contributing to the overall effectiveness of my role.

What Are Your Long-Term Goals?

My ultimate objective is to grow to the role of a business leader, overseeing and directing financial operations with the aim of influencing and shaping key business decisions.

I aspire to wield significant control and management authority, leveraging my expertise to drive the financial success and strategic direction of the organisation.
